How we work
AI-native: AI speeds up research, creative testing and reporting, and a senior specialist makes every call.

Home services marketing is local, urgent and won on the phone. Someone with a leaking pipe or a broken boiler calls the first firm that looks trustworthy, and a kitchen fitter or roofer is chosen after a few quotes. As a PPC agency for home services, we run Google Ads, Local Services Ads and Meta for trades and local service firms, targeted to the postcodes you actually cover and measured on booked jobs and their value. Unlike lead-sharing sites, the enquiries are yours alone.

(01) Campaign structure

Campaigns built to win booked jobs.

Each channel has a different job. Search and Local Services Ads capture people who need help now, local campaigns put you on the map, and social keeps you front of mind for bigger planned work. This is the structure we’d typically build for a home services business.

Paid search & LSAs

Google Ads, Local Services Ads & Microsoft
01

Service-led campaigns

Separate campaigns for each service, from emergency repairs to installations, so budget follows the jobs worth most to you.

02

Local Services Ads

Google-screened ads that charge per lead and sit at the top of local searches. See our Local Services Ads guide.

03

Call-led emergency ads

Call-focused ads scheduled around when your team can answer, because urgent jobs go to whoever picks up first. Track them with call tracking.

04

Service-area targeting

Location targeting matched to the areas you actually cover, with travel time and job value in mind.

Performance Max & Maps

Search, Maps, YouTube & Display
01

Local reach on Maps

Linked to your Google Business Profile, putting you in front of nearby searchers on Maps and Search.

02

Optimised to booked jobs

Calls and enquiries that became booked jobs sent back to Google, so it learns which leads are worth paying for.

03

High-value project campaigns

Separate campaigns for bigger jobs such as new boilers, roofs or kitchens, with their own budgets and landing pages.

04

Brand exclusions

Your business name excluded so Performance Max can’t take credit for searches you’d win cheaply in Search.

Paid social

Facebook & Instagram
01

Local awareness

Broad local campaigns with before-and-after work and reviews, so people think of you when the need arises.

02

Seasonal pushes

Planned campaigns ahead of busy seasons, such as boiler servicing before winter or garden work in spring.

03

Quote forms

Instant forms that ask for the job type, postcode and timing, so you only call back the leads you can serve.

04

Finance & offers

Messaging for bigger planned jobs, highlighting finance options, guarantees and accreditations.

The exact mix depends on your services, coverage area and capacity. We agree it with you up front, then shift budget towards what books the most profitable jobs.

(02) What we solve

Built for local trades

01

Clicks from outside your area

Loose location settings show ads to people searching about your area as well as in it. We target by postcode or radius, set to people located in your area, and check where the calls really come from.

02

Paying for jobs you don’t want

DIY questions, careers searches and jobs outside your trade eat budget. Tight keywords and negative lists keep spend on the work you actually do.

03

Busy one month, quiet the next

Demand swings with the weather and the season. Budgets move with it: heating in autumn, roofing after storms, gardens and exteriors in spring.

04

Shared leads

Lead marketplaces sell the same enquiry to several firms. Your own campaigns bring enquiries that only you receive, at a cost you can see and control.

(03) Who we help

Campaigns built by trade

  • Plumbing & heating

Emergency call-outs, boiler repairs and installs. Call-led campaigns run in your working hours, with boiler installs split out because they’re worth far more.

  • Electricians

Repairs, rewires, EV charger installs and inspections. Separate campaigns for urgent work and planned projects, each with its own pages and bids.

  • Roofing & exteriors

Repairs, replacements, guttering and windows. Search for active demand, with budget ready for the spikes after bad weather.

  • Building & renovation

Kitchens, bathrooms, extensions and loft conversions. Higher-value, considered jobs, with Meta to reach homeowners planning a project and search to catch them when they’re ready for quotes.

  • Cleaning & pest control

Domestic and end-of-tenancy cleaning, carpets and pest control. Local search for one-off jobs, with repeat customers counted in what a client is worth.

  • Removals & storage

Home and office moves and storage. Search planned around moving dates, with quote requests tracked to booked moves.

(04) How it works

From first click to booked job

  1. 01

Map your jobs, area and capacity

We start with the jobs you want more of, what each is worth, the postcodes you cover and how many jobs a week you can take on, so targets match real capacity.

  2. 02

    Launch local, call-led campaigns

Separate campaigns for urgent and planned work, ads scheduled to when you can answer the phone, call tracking from day one, and Local Services Ads where your trade and area are eligible.

  3. 03

Track to booked job, then scale

Calls and forms are tracked, booked jobs are fed back where you can share them, and budget moves to the trades, areas and seasons that bring paid work.

How we measure it · Search → Call → Quote → Booked

  1. Stage 1

    Search

    They need a trade nearby

    Ads on local, high-intent searches

  2. Stage 2

    Call

They call or ask for a quote

Calls and forms tracked by source

  3. Stage 3

    Quote

You visit or price the job

Quotes and call quality fed back

  4. Stage 4

    Booked

    They book the work

    Judged on booked job value

A call isn’t a customer. We follow it through to the booked job, using call tracking to see which calls become work. Booked jobs from your CRM or job software go back to Google as offline conversions, with server-side tracking so fewer leads go missing.

(05) Trust

Ads that earn trust

People are letting someone into their home, so trust decides who gets the call. Google’s Local Services Ads show a badge only after Google has checked the business, including any licences, business registration and insurance, and you pay per lead rather than per click. Eligibility depends on your trade and area, so we check it first and run Local Services Ads alongside search where it fits. Read our guide to Local Services Ads in the UK.

Claims in ads must be accurate. Only say Gas Safe registered or show a trade body logo when it’s true: Gas Safe registration is a legal requirement for gas work in the UK, and false claims have been prosecuted. Reviews must be genuine, because the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act bans fake and misleading reviews, and the ASA’s CAP Code applies to every ad. Claims about price, speed and guarantees need to be ones you can stand behind, and we write ads with that in mind.

(06) London & the UK

Home services marketing in London & across the UK

Trades work to a patch, so campaigns are built around the postcodes you cover and the jobs you want in them, whether that’s a few London boroughs or a whole county. For smaller firms, see our Google Ads for small businesses service.

Typical click prices by trade are in our guide to what Google Ads cost in the UK, and our guide to Local Services Ads in the UK explains when pay-per-lead beats pay-per-click.

(08) FAQ

Home services questions.

01What does a PPC agency for home services do?

A PPC agency for home services, or home services marketing agency, runs Google Ads, and often Local Services Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta, for plumbers, electricians, roofers, cleaners and removals firms, targeted to the areas they cover. Most of the work is control: tight keywords and negatives, ads scheduled to when you can take calls, call tracking, and budget moved to the jobs and areas that pay best.

02What are Google Local Services Ads?

Local Services Ads appear at the top of Google for searches such as plumber near me. You pay per lead rather than per click, and the ads show a badge once Google has checked the business, including licences where needed, business registration and insurance. Eligibility depends on your trade and area.

03Should I use Google Ads or Local Services Ads?

Often both. Local Services Ads charge per lead and carry Google’s badge, but give you less control over which jobs you get. Search ads let you choose the jobs, areas and times you want. We check whether you’re eligible for Local Services Ads and run them alongside search where they add booked work.

04How much should a tradesperson spend on Google Ads?

It depends on your trade, area and competition. Emergency trades such as plumbing and locksmiths pay more per click than planned work. Work back from what a job is worth and how many enquiries you book.

05Is Google Ads better than lead sites like Checkatrade or MyBuilder?

They do different jobs. Directory profiles and reviews help people trust you, and some sites send shared leads. Your own ads bring enquiries that come only to you, at a cost you can see. Many firms keep a directory profile for reviews and use Google Ads to grow.

06Can you track which calls turn into booked jobs?

Yes. Call tracking (an optional add-on) shows which ads and keywords bring calls and how long they last, and where you can tell us which calls became booked jobs, we feed that back to Google so it optimises towards real work.

07Can you target only the postcodes we cover?

Yes. We target the postcodes, towns or radius you travel to, exclude places you don’t, and adjust once we see where calls actually come from.

08Do you work with multi-van and multi-branch firms?

Yes, from sole traders ready to grow to firms with several vans or branches, with campaigns and reporting by area and service so each branch can see what it’s getting.
