How we work
AI-native: AI speeds up research, creative testing and reporting, and a senior specialist makes every call.

Wellness is a crowded, creative-led and closely regulated category. People buy on trust, results and community, platforms apply extra rules to health-related ads, and the real value of a customer comes from how long they stay. As a paid social and PPC agency for wellness brands, we build creative-led campaigns that earn attention, keep claims within the rules, and optimise toward members and customers who stay.

Where we run your ads

(01) Campaign structure

Campaigns built to win loyal customers.

Each channel has a different job. Social and creators build trust and demand, search captures people looking for a solution, and retention-minded campaigns turn first orders into subscriptions. This is the structure we’d typically build for a wellness brand.

Paid social

Meta, TikTok & Pinterest
01

Creator & UGC content

Real customers and creators showing the product in their routine, on Reels and TikTok, tested in a structured framework.

02

Compliant claims

Messaging kept within advertising rules on health claims and each platform’s policies, so ads run without disapprovals.

03

Broad prospecting

Broad targeting with plenty of tested creative, letting Meta and TikTok find new customers, with subscribers excluded.

04

Subscription offers

First-order and subscribe-and-save offers for people who’ve shown interest but haven’t bought.

Shopping & search

Google Ads & Microsoft Advertising
01

Shopping by product

Products grouped by margin and best-sellers, so profitable lines get the budget.

02

Problem & ingredient searches

Campaigns for the needs and ingredients people search for, reaching shoppers who don’t know your brand yet.

03

New-customer bidding

Bidding higher for people who haven’t bought from you before, so growth isn’t just repeat orders.

04

Brand protection

A low-cost campaign on your brand, so resellers and marketplaces don’t take customers already looking for you.

Retention & measurement

Shopify, Klaviyo & lifetime value
01

Lifetime-value targets

Targets set from what a customer is worth over time, not just the first order. Try our LTV:CAC calculator.

02

Customer-list audiences

Subscribers and repeat buyers used to find more people like them, and excluded from prospecting.

03

Server-side tracking

Shopify purchases and subscriptions sent to the platforms server-side, so fewer sales go missing.

04

Blended measurement

Results judged on new customers and overall profit, not each platform’s own reporting. See MER vs ROAS vs POAS.

The exact mix depends on your products, margins and subscription model. We agree it with you up front, then shift budget towards what wins the most valuable customers.

(02) What we solve

Built for wellness challenges.

01

Health claims and platform rules

Wellness ads face stricter rules on claims, imagery and targeting. We build creative that performs without risking disapprovals. More on that below.

02

Standing out in a crowded feed

Every wellness brand promises results. Genuine, creator-led and community-driven creative earns attention and trust where polished claims don't.

03

Seasonal peaks in motivation

New Year, pre-summer and back-to-routine moments drive demand. Budgets and offers are planned around them, with retention in mind.

(04) How it works

From first scroll to loyal customer

  1. 01

    Model lifetime value

We start with what a member or customer is worth over time (retention, repeat purchase and subscription length), so we know what you can afford to acquire them.

  2. 02

    Launch creative-led campaigns

Creator, community and product-in-use creative across Meta and TikTok, with search capturing the people already looking, all built to stay within the rules.

  3. 03

    Optimise to retained customers

Joins, bookings and purchases are tracked back to the platforms, then budget moves to the audiences, offers and locations that bring customers who stay.

How we measure it · Discover → Trial → Member → Retained

  1. Stage 1

    Discover

    They see you

Community-led paid social and local search

  2. Stage 2

    Trial

    They take an intro offer

    Trials and bookings tracked

  3. Stage 3

    Member

    They sign up

    Trial-to-member conversion fed back

  4. Stage 4

    Retained

    They stay

    Judged on members who stay

Cheap trials that never return aren’t growth. We optimise to members who stay. New members from your booking or membership system go back to the platforms as offline conversions, with server-side tracking on your website.

(05) Compliance

Compliant by design

Wellness advertising is regulated, and platforms are stricter still. The ASA’s CAP Code sets rules on health, beauty and weight-control claims, and food supplements may only use health claims authorised on the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register, and never claims to prevent, treat or cure disease.

Meta and Google also apply their own health and wellness policies, covering claims, before-and-after imagery, content that could make people feel bad about themselves, and, for some advertisers, the data and optimisation events they can use. We write copy and creative with these rules in mind and set accounts up to work within them. Final sign-off on regulatory matters rests with your business.

(06) London & the UK

Wellness marketing in London & across the UK

Brightpace works with wellness businesses across the UK, from single-site studios and spas to national gym groups and direct-to-consumer brands. Local businesses need tight geo-targeted paid search and Maps ads; product and subscription brands lean on creative-led paid social that earns attention and trust.

People increasingly ask AI assistants for recommendations (“best Pilates studio near me”), so we advise wellness brands on building the credible presence that gets them cited in AI answers. And because retention is where wellness brands make their money, we use first-party data to find more customers like your best.

January is the biggest moment of the year for many wellness brands. Our Christmas and January sales plan covers how to prepare for it. Weighing an agency against hiring? See our guide to in-housing versus agency costs and our sample weekly report.

(08) FAQ

Wellness questions.

01What does a PPC and paid social agency for wellness brands do?

A PPC and paid social agency for wellness brands, or wellness marketing agency, runs Meta and TikTok campaigns to build demand, and Google search and Shopping to capture people already looking, for gyms, studios, spas and supplement brands. Health-related ads face extra platform rules and UK advertising codes, so a good agency keeps claims compliant and optimises toward members and customers who stay.

02Can wellness and supplement brands advertise on Meta and Google?

Yes, within the rules. Both platforms have health and wellness policies covering claims, imagery and in some cases targeting and data use, and UK advertising must follow the ASA’s CAP Code. Supplements may only use authorised health claims. We build campaigns to work within all of these.

03How do gyms and studios get more members?

Local search and Maps ads capture people already looking, while paid social with genuine, community-led creative reaches people who haven’t started searching. Intro offers work best when campaigns are optimised to members who stay.

04When is the best time for fitness and wellness advertising?

Motivation peaks around the New Year, before summer and when routines restart in September. We plan budgets and offers around those moments while keeping always-on activity running, so you’re not starting from scratch each peak.

05How do you measure wellness marketing?

On members, bookings, subscribers and revenue, ideally over their lifetime. We track conversions accurately, feed outcomes back to the platforms, and judge performance on customers who stay rather than first-month cost alone. We also look at incrementality, especially for retargeting and existing members, so budget goes to ads that bring in customers who wouldn’t have joined anyway.

06How much should a gym or studio spend on advertising?

Work back from what a member is worth over the time they stay. A sensible starting point for a single site is around £1,000 a month, with more for multi-site groups or brands selling nationally.

07Do free trials and intro offers work for gyms and studios?

They can, if you measure what happens next. We track how many trial or intro-offer customers become paying members, feed that back to the ad platforms, and judge campaigns on members who stay, so you don’t fill classes with people who never return.

08Do you run creator or influencer content as ads?

We can run creator content as partnership or Spark ads and advise on what to make and test. We don’t manage influencer programmes, and producing new ads is an optional AI creative add-on, quoted up front.

09Should wellness businesses use an agency or hire in-house?

Single-site gyms, studios and spas rarely need a full-time paid media specialist. An agency on a rolling contract gives you senior expertise without the salary; larger groups and national brands often build an in-house team over time. Our guide to the cost of in-housing versus an agency compares the options.
