The best Google Ads agency for a small business is the one whose fee, contract and level of attention match your budget. Google has no minimum spend, so a small business can advertise on any budget, but the management fee, setup fee and contract length can easily cost more than the ads themselves if you pick the wrong partner. Below are ten UK Google Ads agencies that work with small businesses, what each is genuinely best for, what they publish about price, and how to compare quotes like for like.
Full disclosure: this list is written by Brightpace, and we’ve put ourselves at number one. We’d rather say that plainly than pretend to be neutral. Everything we say about the other nine is based on their own websites, and each is strong at something, so use the “best for” labels to find your fit, even if it isn’t us.
How we chose
Every agency on this list:
- Manages Google Ads as a core service, not just as an add-on to a website package
- Works with UK small businesses, from a UK base
- Is clear about who it’s for, with a small-business focus, published prices or terms that suit smaller budgets
We’ve ordered the list by who we’d recommend for a typical UK small business that wants senior, honest Google Ads management on flexible terms, which is, admittedly, the brief we built Brightpace around.

The 10 best Google Ads agencies for small businesses in the UK
1. Brightpace
Best for: small businesses that want senior, founder-led Google Ads management without a long contract.
Yes, this is us. Brightpace is a founder-led UK agency, founded by a former Performance Marketing Manager at Ticketmaster. As a Google Ads agency for small businesses, we work with local services, online shops, B2B firms and startups, and you deal directly with the person running your account.
Why we’d put ourselves first:
- Every pound protected. We switch off the default settings that leak small budgets, such as Display Network add-ons and loose location targeting, and review search terms, bids and budgets every week.
- Tracking first. Calls, forms and sales tracked properly, including call tracking where the phone matters, so you can see what each new customer costs.
- Honest about fit. If your budget is too small for Google Ads to work, we’ll tell you and won’t take your money. Our free ad budget calculator shows the maths.
- Clear terms. A monthly fee agreed up front and scaled to your ad spend, no setup fee, a 30-day rolling contract, and your ad account stays in your name.
Worth knowing: we’re a deliberately small, senior operation, and we don’t build websites or do SEO. If you want one agency for your site, SEO and ads, an option further down this list may suit you better.
2. PPC Geeks
Best for: small and medium-sized businesses that want a PPC-only Google Premier Partner.
PPC Geeks works with UK SMEs, with a strong focus on eCommerce and lead generation, from offices in Liverpool, Knutsford, London and Kendal. It manages Google Ads, including Shopping, Merchant Center and feed work, alongside Microsoft Ads and paid social, and lists itself as a Google Premier Partner for 2026. It also offers free PPC audits to businesses that qualify.
3. Get-Found
Best for: small businesses that want Google Ads alongside Meta, Shopify or Amazon from one team.
Get-Found was founded in 2019 and has offices in Birmingham and Canary Wharf, London. It runs Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, Microsoft and Amazon Ads for UK businesses in eCommerce, professional services, healthcare, hospitality and SaaS, including single-site dental practices. It works on monthly rolling contracts with no lock-in, and it lists Google, Meta, Shopify and Microsoft partner badges.
4. DPOM
Best for: tradespeople, local firms and small online shops on tight budgets.
DPOM has looked after UK businesses since 2011 from Grantham, near Nottingham, and has been a Google Partner for 15 years. Its Google Ads management starts from £145 a month plus VAT on a flat fee, on monthly rolling agreements with 31 days’ notice, though a one-off setup fee can apply. Bigger brands are pointed to its separate premium service. One of the lowest published entry prices on this list.
5. OnePPC Agency
Best for: local businesses that want a fixed monthly plan with short notice terms.
OnePPC Agency is based in Newquay, Cornwall, and says it has been a Google Ads Partner for over ten years. It publishes fixed plans, from £360 a month for a local business and £450 for a small business, plus VAT, or £90 an hour, all on a 30-day rolling agreement with seven working days’ notice. A clear choice if you want to know exactly what you’ll pay before you call.
6. The Good Marketer
Best for: small businesses that want Google Ads as part of a wider marketing package.
Founded in 2017 and based in Whitechapel, London, The Good Marketer works with small and medium-sized businesses across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, SEO, content, email and web design. It publishes packages based on monthly hours, from £845 a month plus VAT for 13 hours, with a six-month minimum term before moving to rolling. A good fit if you want one agency for several channels and are happy to commit for six months.
7. JDR Group
Best for: UK SMEs that want Google Ads and HubSpot from one long-established partner.
Derby-based JDR Group has managed PPC since 2010 and has been a Google Partner since 2013. Its PPC service covers Google Ads (search, display and YouTube), Microsoft Ads and remarketing with a strong focus on SMEs, and it’s also a HubSpot Elite partner. Useful if you want enquiries from your ads followed through to sales in one CRM.
8. Anicca
Best for: established smaller retailers and B2B firms that want a Premier Partner.
Anicca Digital has been an independent agency in Leicester since 2007 and is a Google Premier Partner and Microsoft Advertising Partner. Its paid search team runs Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Performance Max and Shopping, with audits, rebuilds and ongoing management, on retainer or project terms. Its focus is eCommerce and B2B technology and services, so it suits small businesses that are already spending steadily rather than those just starting out.
9. Bambino Agency
Best for: small businesses that want Google Ads alongside many other channels from one team.
Founded in 2019 and based in Manchester, Bambino Agency runs Google Ads and Google Shopping alongside Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, SEO, web design and AI services. It works across eCommerce, legal, dental, property, finance, hospitality and SaaS, and serves clients across the UK, including remotely. A sensible choice if you want your ads, social and website handled by the same agency.
10. Herdl
Best for: small businesses that want PPC alongside SEO and a new website.
Herdl has offices in Leicester, Nottingham and London, and offers PPC alongside SEO and web design, with packages listed on its website. That suits small businesses that are building or rebuilding their website and want the same team to bring traffic to it through paid and organic search. It also appears in our list of the 10 best PPC agencies in the UK.
How to choose a Google Ads agency for a small business
On a small budget, the terms of the deal matter as much as the skill of the agency. Before you compare anything else, put every quote on the same footing.
Whoever you shortlist, ask these questions. Our 12-point checklist for choosing a PPC agency goes deeper.
- What’s the total cost? Add the monthly fee, any setup fee and the minimum term together. A cheap monthly fee with a 12-month contract can cost more than a higher fee you can cancel.
- Who owns the ad account? It should be in your name, so you keep your data and history if you leave.
- How will they track results? Calls, forms and sales should all be tracked, so you know what each new customer costs, not just how many clicks you got.
- Is your budget big enough? A good agency will tell you if your budget is too small to work, rather than take a fee to spend it. Work it out with our ad budget calculator.
- Who runs your account, and how often? Ask who does the work and how often they check search terms, bids and budgets.
- What will they report? Plain-English reporting on enquiries, sales and cost per customer. See what a PPC report should include.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Google Ads agency cost for a small business?
From the agencies on this list that publish prices, management fees start at around £145 to £845 a month plus VAT, before your ad spend. Many agencies charge 10% to 20% of ad spend or a fixed retainer instead, sometimes with a setup fee. Our guide to what PPC management costs in the UK has worked examples by budget.
What is the minimum budget for Google Ads?
Google has no minimum spend, but a budget that buys only a few clicks a day won’t give Google enough data to learn, or you enough results to judge. Work back from what a new customer is worth to you. Our guide to what Google Ads cost in the UK shows how to set a realistic budget.
Is it worth paying an agency to run Google Ads for a small business?
It can be, when your ad spend is big enough that better management saves more than the fee, and when tracking is in place so you can see the results. If your budget is very small, a one-off setup or account audit and running it yourself can be better value than a monthly retainer.
Should a small business sign a long Google Ads contract?
Usually not. Long minimum terms protect the agency, not you. Many good agencies work on monthly rolling contracts, so they have to earn your business every month.
Are Local Services Ads better than Google Ads for a small business?
For some trades and local services, they work well alongside search ads, because you pay per lead rather than per click and appear above the normal ads. See our guide to Local Services Ads in the UK to check whether your business is eligible.
In short
The UK’s best Google Ads agencies for small businesses range from founder-led specialists to low-cost local providers, PPC-only Premier Partners and full-service agencies. Shortlist on fit, your budget, sector and how many services you want, then compare quotes on the total cost, contract length and account ownership, and judge each agency on tracking, honesty about your budget and who actually runs your account.
